How to run CREST
Primary and early years
1. Plan
Explore our free activities in the Resource Library and pick the ones you want to do with your children.
You can also choose your own activities. Pre-order Star, SuperStar, or Discovery certificates to have them ready for your event!
2. Experiment
Select and run six to eight activities for Star and SuperStar, and one activity for Discovery.
This is the fun part! Children take on the role of investigators, while you use the organiser card for the activity.
3. Apply
Create a free account on our application platform, Apply, to order for your certificates.
Complete the application, pay for the certificates and they will be delivered to your delivery address.
4. Achieve
Celebrate the incredible achievement of the children as they earn their CREST Awards!

Alternatively, students can create and design their own projects. Familiarise your students with the CREST criteria for Bronze, Silver or Gold so they know what to aim for.
2. Complete
Students should complete their projects before submission. Create a free account on our application platform, Apply, to submit projects.
For Bronze, upload a sample of the project work or a completed Bronze workbook. For Silver and Gold, upload the project work alongside a profile form of each student.
3. Assess
Students need to meet at least 11 out of the 15 criteria to earn the respective Award. Once assessed, pay for the certificates, and they will be delivered to your address.
For the Bronze Award, teachers assess students' projects against the Bronze criteria. For Silver and Gold Awards, projects are assessed by a CREST assessor. You need to pay the application fee before the project is assessed.
