CREST Kit Boxes for Engage
Selected members of our Engage Teacher Network will have the opportunity to receive a free CREST kit box, which comes packed with everything an educator needs to deliver inspiring, educational, and relatable STEM activities to school children.
CREST Awards is the British Science Association's (BSA) flagship education programme that encourages young people to behave like real scientists and engineers. CREST challenges are open-ended, investigative, and student-led.
What's inside a CREST kit box
All the resources required for you to deliver eight CREST Star or SuperStar challenges with a class of up to 30 pupils:
- Physical equipment required for all activities.
- Pupil Activity Cards and teacher guide (Organiser Card).
- CREST Passports to record pupils' progress.
- CREST Award certificates for 30 pupils.
The kit boxes are designed to be reused again and again, and educators are provided with links to print extra resources and order more certificates for additional pupils.

Impact
In 2022-23, the BSA ran a pilot project in Scotland, funded by the NCR Foundation, to design and test a solution to overcome the barriers to teachers delivering practical STEM activities in primary school classes. As a result the CREST SuperStar kit box was born!
